In short

Sensemakers is an AI training and advisory firm based in Belgium, working with organizations in Belgium and the Netherlands. It teaches people in organizations to think and work with AI, keeps AI teams up to date with the frontier, and helps organizations run the change. It was founded in 2026 by Ben Mellaerts, with Niels Rogge and Tim Leers. Sensemakers is a trade name of Aventiq BV.

What we do

Academy: hands-on AI courses on the participants' own work, in the tools they already use. Five formats: Thinking with AI (one day), AI Foundations (two half-days, covers the AI literacy duty of EU AI Act Article 4), AI for your role (per team, by role or one tool in depth), AI Build Day (a hackathon) and the AI Champions Program (two days plus six months).
Frontier Watch: an independent, curated view on AI models, tools, protocols and agents for AI and data leads, with tools tested before they are recommended. Currently being built with a small group of founding members.
Transformation: help to plan and run the change, including the AI Accelerator, a roadmap of about three months for SMEs.

Who it's for

Mostly organizations of about 200 to 1,000 employees, larger SMEs and smaller corporates. The Academy is bought by HR, learning and function heads. Frontier Watch is for heads of AI, data leads and CTOs.

What we don't do

We don't build or implement AI applications. When a client wants something built, we introduce a partner.
We don't sell or resell software platforms or licenses.
We don't run long consulting programs. Our formats are short and clearly scoped.

How we use AI ourselves

We use AI agents to follow research, releases and prices for Frontier Watch, and AI tools to prepare course material. People test, check and write everything that reaches a client. Client information never goes into a tool without the client's agreement.
